The swearing-in ceremony of Chattishgarh CM is scheduled at 4pm today in Raipur\’s Science College Ground and over 50,000 people are expected to attend the grand ceremony. Prime Minsiter Narendra Modi will also reportedly arrive at the venue in some time.

Security beefed up at the venue in Raipur as many senior leaders and the CMs of other state are attending the event. Over 1000 police personnel have been reportredly deployed at the venue. Different sectors have been created at the venue for seating arrangements for special guests, media persons, and common people.

Along with Vishnu Deo Sai as CM, BJP leaders Vijay Sharma and Arun Sao will take the oath as Chhattisgarh Deputy CMs in Raipur today. Home Minister Amit Shah and other senior BJP leaders have already arrived at the capital city of Chhattisgarh.

Ex Chhattisgarh CM Raman Singh sent his congratulatory message to the new chief minister, Vishnu Deo Sai, ahead of the oath-taking ceremony on Wednesday.

Singh said, “My heartful congratulations to Vishnu Deo Sai, who has many years of experience, held the post of central minister and various other posts and has a clean image.\”

Ahead of the swearing-in ceremony, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister-designate Vishnu Deo Sai on Wednesday offered prayers at Jagannath Temple in Raipur.

In the Jagannath temple, he conducted ritualistic worship of Lord Jagannath, Mata Subhadra, and Balaram Ji. Concurrently, Purandar Mishra, a Member of the Legislative Assembly from North Raipur, was in attendance.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, an OBC leader and three-time BJP MLA, who is considered close to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), started his political career when he was a student and climbed up the ladder to occupy the top post in Madhya Pradesh.

The 58-year-old MLA from Ujjain South took oath on Wednesday as the chief minister of MP.

He is the state\’s fourth OBC chief minister from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) since 2003, after Uma Bharti, Babulal Gaur and Shivraj Singh Chouhan. He is also the second CM from Ujjain, after Prakash Chandra Sethi of the Congress.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister-designate Vishnu Deo Sai on Tuesday met with Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan.

Vishnu Deo Sai and his council of ministers will be taking oath on Wednesday (December 13) in Raipur, a state government official said.

Vishnu Deo Sai, a tribal face and political veteran who served as a Union Minister, emerged as the dark horse of the week-long suspense over the chief ministerial post of Chhattisgarh.

After the BJP named an OBC and tribal leader as the new Chief Minister\’s of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, respectively, Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said on Tuesday that this was an effect of the demand for a caste census.

Chowdhury said that the BJP has appointed the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh keeping in mind the caste equation after Congress leader Rahul Gandhi talked about the caste census.

\”After Rahul ji spoke about caste census, now CMs (in Rajasthan, MP and Chhattisgarh) are appointed keeping in mind the caste equation. Modi ji is now walking on the path of Rahul ji. This is an effect of demand for a caste census,\” the Congress leader said.
